1 First International Cartoon Contest, Mazatlan 2008, Mexico

1. PARTICIPATION
The Salon is open to all cartoonists from all over the world and beyond.

2. THEME
The USA (United States of America).

3. THE PRIZES
1st. Prize: Golden mermaid + $ 2000 US Dollars.
2nd. Prize: Silver mermaid + $ 1500 US Dollars.
3rd. Prize: Copper mermaid + $ 1000 US Dollars.

Winners will be notified by E-mail, telephone or Post mail.

4. ENTRIES
A maximum of 3 works can be submitted in any media, black and white or colour, but they should have been elaborated specifically for this contest.
It’s recommended to send the works by E-mail but also they can be sent by surface mail. Please do not send originals - good quality photocopies, laser or desk jet printouts would be sufficient.

Works sent by E-mail should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and keep the proportions of a Letter size paper sheet (21.5cms x 27.9cms). They should be sent to: camino3@prodigy.net.mx

Works sent by surface mail should be in a Letter size format of 21.5cms. x 27.9cms. (Sender will carry out Postage fees). They should be sent to:

5. DEADLINE: 31st October 2008

6. ENTRY FORM
The form must be filled in and sent together with works. Each entry must have the name of the author and title of the piece written on the back.

7. PROPERTY RIGHTS
Copyright belongs to authors. The Salon will use some works, but only for promotional purposes, such as publicity, catalogue and press on its own behalf.
